Frequently asked questions

Your LED signage questions, answered.

Learn how to create effective messages, manage your display, and keep your LED sign performing in your setting.

01 What type of content is most effective on a digital sign?

High-contrast images, clear text and restrained motion work better than crowded designs or long paragraphs. Match the content to where it’s seen: roadside messages must be understood in a few seconds, while signs viewed by pedestrians can carry more detail and slower pacing.

02 How do you update and manage LED sign content?

Modern displays use cloud-based content management, so authorized users update messages from any secure, internet-connected device. Make changes right away or schedule campaigns, announcements and seasonal content weeks or months ahead, without visiting the sign.

03 Can cloud-based digital signage be hacked?

Any networked device needs proper security. Professional platforms protect access with encryption, secure passwords, individual user permissions and two-factor authentication. Keep software updated, limit administrator access and avoid unsecured public Wi-Fi.

04 How are outdoor LED signs protected against vandalism?

Commercial outdoor signs use rugged cabinets, durable coatings, secured access points and protective display components built to withstand weather and impact. Modular construction lets a technician replace an affected section without replacing the whole display.

05 What happens if a “bulb” burns out in my LED sign?

There are no bulbs. The display uses millions of tiny light-emitting diodes grouped into pixels, and because it is 100% solid-state, a total burnout is extremely rare. Commercial-grade diodes have an initial failure rate under 0.01%, and a single failed pixel is usually invisible from the road; a technician can swap that one 12-inch tile.

06 Can I play live TV or a movie on my outdoor LED sign?

The hardware can, but many communities restrict full-motion video, flashing and rapid transitions on signs near roads. Sign codes vary, so check local rules first. High-contrast static messages with restrained motion stay visible and compliant.
